The people at every gas station is looking for me because I used a fake salvation army card

these photographs may be a little harsh on Detroit. its much easier and usually more interesting for photographers to point the camera at the odds and dark sides of a subject or place. Although there are many of run down areas in detroit, and downtown almost feels like a ghost town I can't help forget how friendly and helpful most of the people were. I have never been asked how my day was going by that many strangers in a city.

400 tmax

took one roll of tmax 400 in detroit. i miss you film. i need more of you in my life

The main bus route between the airport and downtown goes along w Fort street. There was a three or four block stretch on this road where every business/house/food shop was boarded up

i heart detroit... Michigan Central Depot

Being constructed in 1913 by the same architects who designed Grand Central Station in NY the station fell into abandonment in 1988. The massive marble waiting rooms and all eighteen floors have fallen victim to bored destructives, shitty graffiti writers, and legit graffiti writers. Post- apocolyptic or urban decay doesn't describe well enough. Falls in the top three art museums I will ever see.

save the depot..
