| Guan Yin Buddha. The three sided statue stands 342 ft high on an artificial island on the South side of Hainan island. Her inland facing side holds a buddhism scripture and her right hand is in the Vitarka mudra position, representing the discussion and transmission of Buddha's teachings. The other two sides facing away to the South China Seas represent her blessing and protection of China. |
